Position Title: Staff Engineer/ Designer
Reports To: Division Manager
FLSA Status: Full-time, Exempt
Division: Engineering Location: Loveland
General Summary: Staff engineer/designers are involved in the design and permitting for oil and gas pads, site development including, road design, grading, and storm water design, infrastructure engineering, transportation engineering, or related areas of land development.
- Responsible for addressing internal and external plan review comments.
- Assisting in preparing a variety of site plans, plan and profile drawings, grading plans, utility plans, and roadway plans.
- Work on AutoCAD, site grading, drainage, and utility design.
- Deliver and pick up plans to and from clients and municipal entities
- Preparing comment response letters and binding reports
- Plan reproduction and assembly
- Permit preparation
- Site visits and inspections & assist in preparing and following project budgets and schedules
- Drainage analysis and drainage design
- AutoTurn analysis
- 2-4 years of civil engineering experience preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D, MS Word, and Excel.
- Excellent oral communication skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must have ability to recognize and re-prioritize direction and priorities from many different people.
Education or Formal Training:
- Formal CAD training/coursework required.
- Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering preferred.
- EIT license preferred.
