John McLain, PE
John is Baseline’s managing principal. He was born in Oklahoma City; however, he spent most of his upbringing dreaming of someday living in Colorado.
Steve is a Colorado native who has enjoyed working on many projects contributing to the growth of Colorado Springs, including one of his favorites, the multi-phased expansion of the United States Olympic Training Center.
Vincent’s passion for the outdoors and his knack for craftsmanship are evident in his hobbies, which range from teaching fly-fishing and mountaineering to indulging in welding and woodworking projects.
Steve has been an engineer in the land development industry for over 20 years and has made it his passion to develop quality designs that reflect well on the company.
Mike is an experienced engineer with over 34 years of experience. He was born and raised in Iowa, where he ended up graduating from Iowa State University. He and his wife first relocated to Steamboat Springs, Colorado about 27 years ago.
Morgan has civil engineering experience in a variety of land development projects. She has worked on oil and gas projects, commercial and residential developments, and public projects such as community solar gardens.
Julie worked for Las Campanas Real Estate Development in Santa Fe before moving to Wisconsin where she was Planning Assistant for the City of Janesville for 12 years.
Isaac grew up in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He earned his associate degree in land survey sciences and civil engineering at Southeast Technical Institute. In his free time, Isaac enjoys hiking, skateboarding, flag football, video games, and watching movies.
Vince has an awesome wife of 35 years, and three grown boys who are doing well in their careers. He loves to take time off from work and play on vacation usually dealing with water or warm weather.
Tez is originally from Ferguson/St. Louis, Missouri and moved to Colorado in 2015 seeking opportunity and adventure. Tez’s passion for the land use planning profession is derived from his upbringing in a low-income minority community.
Jason is from Western Nebraska and eventually relocated to Colorado in 1998. In his free time, he enjoys boating, cruising, motorcycling, kickboxing, and tackling home improvement projects.
Jayme’s responsibilities at Baseline include processing and drafting files that come from and go out to the field. He primarily works on oil and gas certifications along with various other survey projects.
Jake grew up in Loveland, Colorado and continues to call it his hometown. In his free time he enjoys finding new camping spots with his family, somewhere where only off-road vehicles can go, and spending time with his pet Corgi named Copper.
Kevin grew up in Connecticut, but the landscapes are what brought him to Colorado. He earned his B.L.A in Landscape Architecture and Community Planning from the University of Rhod Island. Born and raised in Colorado, Doug’s surveying career began in 1995. He has worked on projects throughout the state, conducting surveys for the public and private sectors.
Alan’s worked on a variety of engaging projects, professionally and personally. since graduating in 2015 and hopes to continue to build new things moving forward.
Tim was born and raised to an agricultural family central Montana. He attended college at Gonzaga University, and moved to the Yampa Valley in 1998. For years, he worked at a Nordic lodge grooming trails, and pursued his passion for skiing.
Terry has been in the environmental consulting field for over 40 years. In his free time, Terry enjoys fishing, hunting, golfing, and home improvement projects.
Matt started surveying after he graduated from high school. He has worked in various divisions throughout different industries such as civil, oil, and mining.
Luke was born and raised in Colorado and moved to the Denver area after graduating from Colorado State University. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family camping, hunting, fishing or tackling home projects.
Michelle grew up near Los Angeles called El Sereno. Michelle earned her Bachelor’s degree in Geology at Arizona State University. Scott values landscape and education as he holds many degrees, including an AS from Flathead Valley Community College, a BLA from the University of Idaho, and a BHort from Montana State University.
Brenda has lived most of her life on the East Coast. She moved to Colorado in 2018 to be closer to her family. She graduated from Johnson & Wales University. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, crocheting, and doing outdoor activities!
Jordan moved to Golden in 2015 and enjoys running, biking, and most other outdoor sports. He has worked with land development, transportation, drainage, and construction inspection projects.
Laura graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering at the age of 20 from the lnstituto Tecnologico de Nogales in Mexico, where she is originally from. She has been a Civil Engineer ever since then and has more than 14 years of experience in the construction industry.
Chris was born and raised in Houston, Texas, the oldest of five kids. Now, he loves living a small mountain town and spending time with his wife and two kids.
Kyler grew up in Wheat Ridge, CO. He attended CSU and earned his BS in Civil Engineering. Kyler loves Colorado for its seasons. In Kellen’s free time, he enjoys working on cars, hiking 14ers, camping, fishing, hunting, driving through the mountains, and pretty much anything else that has to do with being outside!
Ben is a land use planner with over 20 years of experience in the public and private sectors. He relocated from Wisconsin to Colorado in 1999 with his family, but somehow his skiing experience is still limited to the iced hills of Wisconsin.
James been in the civil engineering industry for around six years. working as a surveyor. He grew up in Cheyenne, Wyoming and moved back west after living most of the last 20 years in St. Louis, Missouri.
During his time studying civil engineering at Colorado State University, he developed a passion for infrastructure and transportation design. Garrett hopes to combine his engineering passions and experiences to contribute and learn with Baseline.
Lan is very detailed-oriented in his work, he’s capable of working independently with minimum supervision and is committed to providing high-quality service.
Ryan grew up in Columbus, Ohio, and moved to Colorado to be closer to the mountains. With a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, he enjoys various activities, including exploring the outdoors, trying new restaurants, and traveling.
Lachlan was born and raised in Fort Collins and has family all over Colorado. After graduating high school, he attended Front Range Community College to explore career interests. There he discovered CAD and the greater discipline of civil engineering and design.
