We’ve completed our report and a series of intersection analysis exercises necessary to determine the most effective design. This has resulted in a 135 foot inscribed diameter roundabout on South Golden Road, Golden, Colorado.
Engineers from Jefferson County say, “Baseline Engineering has demonstrated that a 135 foot inscribed diameter roundabout will perform well at this location. The engineers have performed a technical roundabout analysis & design to achieve a state-of-the-art design that limits entry & exit speeds while accommodating the needed capacity improvements.
The safety benefits of a well designed roundabout are well documented throughout the U.S. and we are confident that this location will be no exception. We recommend approval of this document in order for final design and right of way acquisition to proceed.”
