It’s amazing the average child spends only seven minutes a day outdoors. What’s even more amazing is that this statistic applies to Colorado, a state where the outdoors is everything! Due to the benefits outside activity gives to curtailing conditions such as obesity, diabetes and heart disease–and the potential health-care costs associated with them–Jeffco Outdoors Foundation (JOF) is on a mission to connect children and families to the outdoors.
Baseline shares this mission. We’re proud to support Jeffco Outdoor’s “Party for Parks” on Friday, April 5, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Red Rocks. This fundraiser is also a celebration of the anniversaries and accomplishments of Jefferson County Open Space, Denver Mountain Parks and Great Outdoors Colorado. Together, these organizations have preserved over 62,000 acres of public parks.
JOF is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit. Through a grant program, it supports parks and conservation organizations to get the most at-risk children and families outdoors. Join us on this mission. Party with us at Red Rocks April 5!
