In November, Baseline for Community (B4C) sponsored our second company-wide Thanksgiving Food Drive — resulting in donating 876 lbs of non-perishable items to four different food bank programs: Food Bank of the Rockies, Care and Share Food Bank for Southern Colorado, Food Bank for Larimer County, and LiftUp Routt County — surpassing last year’s food drive with an additional 376 lbs of food for 2019!
To make things a little interesting, we ran a healthy office competition among our five offices: Golden, Denver, Loveland, Colorado Springs, and Steamboat Springs to see which office could bring in the most donations. Our contest was based on the number of items donated per office employee count. The competition became fierce and ran neck to neck. In the end, the Denver office came in ahead and won the honor of 2019 Top Turkey and will receive the Turkey Cup and a pizza party. The prestigious Turkey Cup will reside in our Denver office throughout 2020 and will travel offices based on who wins subsequent Thanksgiving Food Drive competitions. In addition, Baseline Engineering Corporation contributed $500 to the winning office’s food bank — Food Bank of the Rockies!
In addition, our Golden/Denver and Loveland offices held a turkey bowling event this year, which resulted in donating 14 frozen turkeys to the Denver Rescue Mission and to the Food Bank for Larimer County.
Thank you so much to everyone at Baseline for another successful food drive and making a difference for someone this Thanksgiving!
