A twist to a barn raising is a barn moving. Baseline provided civil engineering services for the Iconic Entry project, which consists of moving the historical Arnold Barn to a new location at the entrance to the ski resort in Steamboat Springs. Our work included the associated grading and drainage plan for the Arnold Barn site that included the finish floor elevation, soft surface trail locations, proposed culverts, and limits of all cut and fill slopes and areas of disturbance, as well as a parking lot and pedestrian site access. It’s exciting to see the old barn being moved to its new location where the City will continue its work to bring it back to life, tying the City to its western roots.
