Survey Crew Chief/Project Manager – Golden

Position Overview:

• Title: Survey Crew Chief/Project Manager
• Location: Golden, Colorado
• Department: Surveying
• Status: Full-time, Exempt
• Reports To: Division Manager

Key Responsibilities:

As a Survey Crew Chief/Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing small-scale projects and assisting on large-scale projects with a focus on technical accuracy and quality. You will:

• Lead and manage topographic and boundary surveys.
• Operate GPS and traditional surveying instruments.
• Review bid proposals and estimates.
• Provide mentorship and field assistance to junior staff.
• Collaborate with clients and external project participants.

Field & Office Responsibilities:

Field Duties:

• • Direct and participate in surveys, including construction staking and boundary surveys.
  • Operate Trimble GPS, Robotic Total Stations, and Auto/Digital Level equipment.
  • Ensure accurate survey data, including horizontal and vertical locations.
  • Coordinate field crew activities and maintain survey equipment.

Office/CAD Duties:

• • • Assist with proposal preparation, business development, and marketing efforts.
    • Create detailed AutoCAD drawings, address plan revisions, and ensure deliverables meet quality standards.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of field experience, with 3+ years of CAD experience.
• Proficiency in using Trimble GPS and CAD software (AutoCAD/LDD).
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and work towards deadlines.
• Valid driver’s license and high school diploma (or equivalent) required.
• Preferred: 2-year technical degree in surveying/engineering.
