General Summary: Baseline seeks a Senior Program Manager – Hydrogeologist with 15 to 20 years of applicable experience, to lead our local, municipal, industrial, and Federal compliance, due diligence, and environmental remediation projects. The candidate may work remotely within

This position requires attention to detail, time management multi-tasking capability, staff management and client management, and a strong work ethic. Responsibilities will include a combination of field and office-related tasks requiring travel to the job site, client’s office, and City and State regulatory agencies. The majority of the projects are within the Denver metro and Fron-Range area of Colorado and Wyoming. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills as well as the ability to interact with clients and regulatory personnel without issue. Colorado but will be expected to travel to specific job sites periodically for possibly extended periods of time.

Essential Functions and Experience with:

  • Managing and directing professional and technical staff to complete complex environmental projects
  • Takes a lead role in the proposal negotiation and contract processes.  Has authority to quote fees as authorized in Baseline policy directives. Maintains a good relationship with the client after the project is finished to ensure securing future work the client may have.
  • Strong knowledge and track record in the environmental / remediation business inclusive of risk-based strategic asset management and advocacy in multiple state jurisdictions working for an Environmental Consultant
  • Working knowledge of the various remediation technologies, In-situ ChemOx / Redox injections, Aerobic and Anerobic bioremediation, PRBs, Soil-vapor-extraction, Injection and Extraction well design; and Detection monitoring and Corrective Action Program design and management
  • Experienced with Legacy Management Programs
  • Receives project assignments from the Division Manager. Determines costs and time schedules for proposed work independently or with the aid of the Division Manager or other PMs.
  • Initiates correspondence with clients pertaining to his/her projects. Recommends and/or coordinates change management and associated costs with clients as required. Assists clients as required in the selection of contractors and monitors their performance as required. Conducts meetings and issues correspondence to ensure project work is processed in accordance with the client contract.
  • Answers questions and gives daily guidance to team members assigned to the project. Checks work and deliverables for general appearance and completeness.
  • Recognizes problems quickly, and addresses and corrects them promptly. Seeks Division Manager’s advice if problems persist.
  • Close successful collaboration with CDPHE and CDOT Tier 1 contractors and other stakeholders
  • Familiarity with managing CERCLA / RCRA / NEPA / FERC environmental programs, contaminants of concern, and organizational framework of the respective agencies
  • Achieving contractual performance and financial milestones

Other responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:

 

  • Familiar with project invoicing and cash flow management. Analyzes financial statements and completes budget tracking
  • Leads teams by utilizing advanced scientific principles, theories, and practices. Utilizes existing technologies and past experience to develop technical solutions to complex problems. Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, and compares findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance. Oversees the preparation of work plans and organizes project studies
  • Performs work with minimal direction with periodic reporting to internal regional and environmental management
  • Performs complex assignments often requiring the development of unique solutions to problems with the support of the project team
  • Supervises junior and mid-level staff during all phases of project work
  • Good understanding of the various drilling and direct-push technologies; aquifer testing, multi-level well construction; borehole logging, general geotechnical sampling methods, and well development and rehabilitation.

Job Qualifications/Education

  • MS – Geology / Hydrology /Environmental Sciences Preferred
  • Minimum: BA/BS in Geology, Environmental Science/Engineering, or another related field;
  • Professional Geologist or Engineer license;
  • Proven Track record with more than 5 years of Senior PM Experience; 5 to 10 years of direct and relevant project manager experience with more than 10 to 15 years as a senior geologist/engineer.

 

Salary Range: $110,000 – $140,000

  • Professional license (PG, PE)
  • CDPHE-Certified Asbestos Building Inspector (CABI) or willing to obtain within the first year preferred
  • Registered Environmental Professional (REP)
  • Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM)
  • 40-hr Hazwoper Training and Hazwoper 8-Hr Refresher
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
  • Excellent active listening skills
  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
  • Resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere
  • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others

  • Familiarity with environmental cleanup programs (CERCLA, RCRA,VCUP, etc.)
  • Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License is required.
