Baseline is the designer for this construction management-at-risk (CMAR) water treatment plant upgrade project that includes treatment capacity expansion from 1.8 mgd to 3.5 mgd. Enhanced disinfection and additional filtration will be added to treat the raw water from the District’s and City of Steamboat Spring’s wellfields. The project design includes new backwash storage tanks, new super structure over the backwash storage tanks, modification of existing structure, site improvement work, new and modified site piping, new and modified process piping, and new equipment including: two new 150-hp distribution pumps, two new ultraviolet (UV) water treatment units, modifications to the existing HVAC systems, new instrumentation and controls replacement/upgrades, relocating existing instrumentation and electrical service, modifications to motor control centers (MCCs).
