We finally have the technology approved by the State and Funding Agency. We are now 30% complete with design of a 600 GPM Arsenic and Uranium Water Treatment Facility. This design is tricky because the raw water is high in Silica. After a long deliberation, we decided to not adjust the pH. We have an MnO2 coagulation filtration unit and dose ferric chloride on the front end to take care of the Arsenic. After that process, we will utilize a Dow Chemical filter media to tackle the Uranium. It appears backwash is allowed to Sanitary Sewer. This will alleviate any Uranium handling concerns. We expect to have the project bid this year. Stay tuned, and email me if you would like to be on the bidders list.
